The NABET-CWA Network Negotiating Committee has concluded three days of off-the- record discussions with ABC, Inc. These discussions centered on attempts to narrow the remaining issues, and during the first two days progress was apparent.
However, at a point late this morning, in a bizarre turn of events, the Union discovered that ABC Labor Relations had misrepresented aspects of these discussions. The result of these misrepresentations is that the apparent progress has evaporated, and the Company has indicated that it will revert to its October 22, 2007 Package Proposal.
No future meetings with ABC are planned at this time, and your Bargaining Committee will keep you updated on any new developments. We also expect that Company propaganda, containing misrepresentations and distortions, may soon be on the way to your homes.
