Negotiations between NABET-CWA and ABC, Inc. resumed today at 10:30 A.M.  

Over the course of the day, the Network Negotiating Committee completed its initial run through of the Union's contract proposals. Over fifty improvements to current provisions were presented to ABC representatives today. Among the improvements discussed today were provisions concerning vacation entitlement and pro-ration, Sideletters DK and DV regarding computer systems, Sideletter FX regarding Parkervision type systems, Sideletter EH regarding vendor equipment, and Sideletter BR regarding the Extended Leave of Absence program.

The Union also presented proposals calling for the elimination of "special conditions" in San Francisco that would reinstate the full terms of the Master Agreement to KGO-TV and KGO-AM.

Other Union proposals presented today included the restoration of retiree medical benefits, and the elimination of restrictions regarding outside employment.

Talks adjourned for the evening at 5 P.M.  The parties will caucus separately on Tuesday in order to fully review their respective initial proposal packages.
