 NABET-CWA/ABC Negotiations - Bulletin 25

June 1, 2007

BULLETIN 25

May 31, 2007

Negotiations resumed at 10:30 A.M. when the parties discussed the 'R' Agreement (New York Publicists) in an off the record session.

When the parties met in full committee at 2 P.M., a number of provisions regarding the General Articles and the 'A' Agreement (Engineering), which pertain to both Staff and Daily Hire members, were discussed.  In particular, the Union Bargaining Committee focused today's dialog on Union proposals pertaining to job title wage group reclassifications, overtime, and excessive assignments. The Union also raised a number of questions concerning employee costs and eligibility for the proposed Daily Hire participation in some Signature Plan Benefits. All of these discussions were quite spirited.

Just prior to concluding for the day, ABC submitted a handful of proposal modifications, including a new wage proposal which represents a slight increase from the Company's initial offer.

Talks adjourned for the day at 6:30 P.M.  On Friday, negotiations will resume at 8:30 A.M. The NABET-CWA Network Negotiating Committee will be joined at the table by CWA President Larry Cohen.

The Union Bargaining Committee reminds all members to ignore rumors. All official negotiation and mobilization information will be delivered on the Sector website at www.abc-contract.info. Please also check Local websites, hotlines, and e-mail for additional information.
